A Guide to Shape, Finish & Clarity
A frame changes the way an image meets a room. Consider the visible finish, the outline and the space around the photograph before deciding what feels right.

Clear acrylic: an open visual setting
The clear acrylic styles in our collection keep the edge visually light. The photograph remains prominent, while the transparent surround allows some of the wall or surface behind it to stay visible. This is useful when you want the image to lead rather than a strong border.
Clarity is an aesthetic choice, not a promise of conservation performance. Do not assume that a clear frame is UV-filtering, scratch-proof or suitable for irreplaceable originals unless the individual listing specifically confirms that property.
Wood-toned profiles: warmth and definition
Natural Wood and Walnut Wood are named finishes within the Curved Clear collection. Their warm-toned profiles can connect a photograph with wooden furniture, textured fabrics and quieter interior palettes.
Colour names and photographs do not establish the construction of every component. Check the individual listing or ask us if you need to confirm solid wood, veneer, backing material or a particular finish. A visible wood tone is useful for styling; a construction claim needs product-specific information.
Scalloped mats: detail close to the image
A scalloped inner border adds rhythm without requiring the photograph itself to be busy. It can make a simple botanical print or a small portrait feel more deliberately presented.
A decorative mat also changes the visible area of the image. Measure the photo opening rather than assuming it equals the outer frame size. Do not assume that a mat is archival or acid-free unless the listing confirms it.
Wavy edges: a different kind of outline
A wavy profile makes the outer edge part of the composition. Repeated curves can soften a rectangular photograph and provide a playful contrast to straight shelves or a clean-lined desk.
Choose the profile because you enjoy its shape, then verify the practical details separately. Glazing, backing and mounting options can vary between products, even when they share a colour or collection name.
The useful questions
Ask about the photo opening, outer dimensions, orientation, stand support, hanging hardware and material composition when any of those details matter to your display.
For cleaning, follow the instructions supplied with the specific frame. A soft, dry cloth is a gentle starting point for dust, but do not apply a cleaner based only on how the frame looks. If you are uncertain about the surface, contact us first.
