A considered fit

Size Guide

Measure the image first. Then consider the opening, the border and the space where the frame will live.

Three measurements to understand

The image is only
part of the picture.

Your photograph or artwork

Measure the width and height of the actual paper, not the file on your screen. If you are printing a digital image, check the intended print dimensions and crop before placing the order.

The photo opening

This is the visible area inside the frame or mat. It may be smaller than the paper it holds. A decorative mat can cover part of the image, so important details should not sit too close to the edge.

The outer frame

The outer dimensions include the border. Use this measurement when planning shelf space, comparing neighbouring frames or laying out a wall arrangement.

From image to display

01 / Measure

Start with the paper

Record the width and height. Note whether the image is portrait or landscape, and whether any part of it can be cropped without losing something important.

02 / Confirm

Check the actual listing

Select a listed variant, then verify the visible opening, outer dimensions and display method. Contact us when a measurement is not stated.

03 / Place

Make room around it

Measure the shelf depth or wall area. Allow space for the stand or hanging hardware, and check that the arrangement is supported securely.
